President Obama Calls for “Economic Patriotism,” Comrade

Peoples of the United States!

First we had the “Patriotic Millionaires” so the 99% could rally around the 1%.  Now we have the “Economic Patriots” so the 99% can look like idiots:

“During campaign season, you always hear a lot about patriotism,” Obama told supporters at an outdoor amphitheater near the Virginia coast. “Well, you know what, it’s time for a new economic patriotism — and economic patriotism rooted in the belief that growing our economy begins with a strong and thriving middle class.”

Economic Patriotism sounds a lot like Herman Goering’s “Strength Through Joy” or some other such absurd Totalitarian slogan.

We all know the economy is in the tank and most likely will be getting much worse over the following six months:

The final revision for the second quarter is in, and it isn’t pretty: GDP grew at a yearly rate of just 1.3%, not 1.7% as earlier estimated. Worse, durable goods orders plunged 13.2% in August, the biggest drop since the recession and an ominous sign the second half will be just as bad.

This time, it really is the worst recovery since the Great Depression, but the media parrot Obama’s complaint that it’s Bush’s fault, or Wall Street’s — anybody but Obama. Obama hasn’t been up to the job since day one. Maybe it’s time the media started doing theirs.

Here’s what’s going to be hitting the nation come January:

These tax increases – of course – are exactly what Obama wants.

After all, you cannot grow the size of Government unless you feed it a fat portion of taxpayer dollars.

Here’s what three Liberal idiots (but I repeat myself) have to say about it all:

Unfortunately, your post rings all too true. Tax increases are exactly what President Obama wants. I think he actually believes they will jump start the economy by taking from people who have been successful and giving to those who haven’t. Sad thing is, I am becoming increasingly pessimistic about the chances of defeating him in November.
