Mercurial Occupyers Turn on Their Liberal “Masters”

Occupy Oakland: Violent Leftists are the same everywhere...
The Occupy movement exists mainly in large metropolitan areas which are almost always governed by Democrats. When the Occupy movement started in the United States the mayors of these cities were unwilling to clean these cockroaches out of their town and thus they became encampments. After much fretting, New York City’s Mayor Bloomberg finally moved against the scourge in Zuccotti Park and the vermin were removed and haven’t returned (they are now trying for Washington Square Park).
Why did Bloomberg take so long to act considering the health, safety, and logistical nightmares the movement was creating?
Because a majority of his constituents are Democrats and a majority of the Occupiers are Democrats.
Over the weekend in Oakland, California the Occupiers broke into City Hall, trashed the lobby, tried to destroy that building’s electrical system, and burned an American flag. Oakland’s mayor, Jean Quan (a Democrat) is finally coming out against the tide of human garbage that has cost her city’s taxpayers over $2 million and leaves graffiti everywhere on a weekly basis.
Over 400 protesters were arrested (and released the next day) and pledged they’d be back to push their “message.”
This comment by Quan shows she has no clue what to do:
I plan to call some of the national leadership of Occupy this week to say that the Oakland group is not nonviolent and has not agreed to be nonviolent. The national Occupy movement has said they are nonviolent.
And Neville Chamberlain held up a piece of paper saying that “peace in our time” had arrived!
When Democratic mayors across the nation moved to push Occupiers out of their tents all of the Middle Class Trustafarians left leaving the hardcore Birkenstock/Trail Mix crowd to clash with police, earn their wings by getting arrested, and perhaps get the chance to hit a police officer with a brick or bottle but then claim they were beat up.
All of this could have been avoided had these people never been allowed to stay. But Democratic city councils, mayors, and other elected officials thought they could turn this group of lawbreakers into some sort of a political base for support.
They were wrong.
They politicized something that never should have been… namely law and order and public safety and quality of life for the people who actually lived in their city (like those around Zuccotti Park).
It’s happening (still) in Washington, D.C. and Obama’s spokesman nicely explains how the Left is complicit in the rising tide of lawlessness and violence:
And uh, our position has been and continues to be that we need balance First Amendment concerns of the right to demonstrate, the right to speak freely, and with public safety concerns and public health concerns[...]
There is almost an air of obsequiousness present in Carney’s affirmation of 1st Amendment rights.
We’re all about the 1st Amendment… just don’t illegally camp places, break the law, and then claim you’re simply asserting your rights.
Every day we see how the Left abandons doing its job representing all Americans such as when General Motors sucked up tens of billions in taxpayer dollars, left us with a bill now in excess of $27 billion all so Democrats could pay back their main supporter… Big Union.
We saw again how support for the wasteful “Green Energy” sector cost billion of dollars with two energy companies belly up and two more to go.
Regarding the Occupy Movement, Democrats made their bed but unfortunately the residents of those cities are the ones who have to sleep in it.

You are right; the Democrats let this movement go on for too long because they felt they could gain politically from it. Barack Obama basically called them into action and they obeyed and this was all part of the class warfare plan for reelection that Obama is going to employ moving forward.
As these people become more of an annoyance I think this will backfire moving forward.

The violence is a huge turn off as is burning the flag.

There is nothing wrong with a good clean protest, but protesters go too far when they start vandalizing. For the protesters who have a beef with the big banks, they can move their money to smaller local branches. Trustafarians, you crack me up!

These flea baggers most likely don’t have any money… why else would they be dirty living in tents eating food from soup kitchens.

Because in some circles it’s trendy to play poor. Trustafarians get off on saying they’re broke.

Occupy is liberal/radical chickens coming home to roost. What I find amazing is that the residents of #Occupy-inflicted cities are generally pro-#Occupy even if they themselves are affected.

Like all Liberals, only the ones who don’t live or work near the kamps are pro-Occupy.

Still, it’s too high level of support for people who should know better.
