It is no secret that Michele Bachmann has been on a number of hit lists since her rise from relative obscurity. Last week many were talking about the Newsweek cover photo that made her look crazy. Even some Liberals jumped in and defended her such as Jon Stewart and even NOW piped up.
Another photo has hit the web that is quite unflattering of Bachmann.
Well… maybe not?
I’ll admit, I laughed pretty hard when I saw it but that’s just because it really is that funny:
We also had a lot of fun with Anthony’s Weiner’s dilemma as to whether he could stay a “member” of the House of Representatives or not.
No doubt this photo will again bring on a chorus of criticism regarding accusations of media bias but, in this case, I don’t think Bachmann’s hardline Conservative stance is the reason it was posted.
The photo initially appeared on The Telegraph’s website as well as a few others:
A person should be allowed to eat a long cylindrical object without scorn or derision but, well, life doesn’t always work out that way.
Maybe it’s better to stick with hamburgers instead?
This could become Bachmann’s version of the “Dean Scream” which, at the time, seemed silly but turned into a big deal the way Virginia’s Governor George Allen’s “Macaca Moment” signaled the beginning of the end of his campaign.
When he ran for president, Barack Obama was photographed scarfing down a long cylindrical object but it didn’t have quite the same effect:
Or this one taken during his presidential campaign:
Certainly, the photo of Bachmann is hilarious no matter to which political party she belongs. One thing is for sure and that’s whomever suggested this as a photo-op should be immediately fired!
Here are a few more but the composition just isn’t the same:
Don’t worry… Capitol Commentary will have a very adult (and boring) rant on automotive fuel efficiency standards tomorrow… please return to your regularly scheduled programming.
