UNinvited to Global Warming Meeting

Clearly man made CO2 is a HUGE contributor! Source: GeoCraft.com

The United Nations, that bastion of intellectual and moral superiority has denied credentials to journalist, filmmaker, and Global Warming skeptic Phelim McAleer.  Mr. McAleer has a dangerous history of asking politicians and scientists embarrassing questions that challenge them to explain why mankind is causing Global Warming.

Mr. McAleer also has a habit of asking his questions whilst filming.  Turns out the U.N. doesn’t like that, either.  In a move which surely angered the hypocritical Left, he made a movie titled Come Fly with Me where he documented how most people who attended the Global Warming conference in Copenhagen flew there even though these people believe flying destroys the planet.

Mr. McAleer says his exclusion from the Cancun Climate Change Conference amounts to censorship.

Let’s be honest what this “summit” is all about: a bunch of poor, badly managed Third World countries ganging up on the First World countries to try and use faux science into guilt tripping them to transfer massive amounts of wealth from the Haves to the Have Nots.  Or the sun is going to explode and the farming season will expand significantly, allowing us to feed more people.

One Global Warmer in England has his own ideas about how to “save” the planet:

In one paper Professor Kevin Anderson, Director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, said the only way to reduce global emissions enough, while allowing the poor nations to continue to grow, is to halt economic growth in the rich world over the next twenty years.

Prof Anderson admitted it “would not be easy” to persuade people to reduce their consumption of goods

He said politicians should consider a rationing system similar to the one introduced during the last “time of crisis” in the 1930s and 40s.

The United Nations is no different from a Mean Girls birthday party except that nobody is being forced to invite the chubby girl with glasses who eats her lunch alone every day in the corner.  There are no moderating influences at the U.N.  Countries like Sudan and Iran get to sit on a human rights panel and judge the United States while countries that don’t even have running water work to extort money from guilty Liberals who then try and pass laws to make the rest of us pay for our success.

Inviting a dissenting voice like Mr. McAleer is not what these people want.  Al Gore doesn’t want to be asked tough questions that he cannot answer, and neither does any other “scientist” because it would raise difficult issues such as the truth.

Well done, Harrison. The people who are pushing for all of us to accept global warming and mankind’s fault in it do not want to be questioned. They expect us to all fall in lockstep and accept their “scientific proof” without question.

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read the quote you included. Does Professor Anderson really believe we should stop our economic growth in America, just because other countries can’t keep up? That’s about the stupidest thing I have heard in quite some time.

Prof. Anderson is not alone. Seems that this sick line of “thinking” is quite common in England. Another Brit said the population of the UK needed to be decreased so as to not damage the environment.

They don’t want dissent and they don’t want debate, they just want to find the best way to move their agenda forward. Only now they are no longer even hiding the fact that they true goal of the movement is a global redistribution of wealth. They need to halt economic growth in the rich countries in order to let the poor ones catch up. Their dream is to have all nations with the same standard of living, so they must bring the standard of living down for millions of people across the world in order to achieve that goal. No wonder they don’t want McAleer there!

      Just more Liberals “celebrating diversity.”

As ws Copenchangen ’09, Cancun ’10 will result in nothing except the further exposure that the zealots of the faith-based AGW crowd are but Marxist redistributionists not at all concerned with the environment.

This has gone from wanting to do something about the environment to punishing the advanced nations on the planet. Nothing more, nothing less.

I don’t think it ever was about the environment. I think this is simply an excuse.

where’s wikileaks when you need them?

We need to figure out how to destroy water. That would get rid of global warming.

Exactly. Since this is impossible, we should all “concentrate” on something for which mankind is responsible for a whopping 0.117%!

Well said Harrison. They don’t like the hard questions, and avoid any criticism.

I thoroughly enjoyed Lomborg’s documentary “COOL IT”.

As well, Gore’s admission that the ethanol legislation he cast the deciding vote on was a mistake. As Jackie Gleason would say “How sweet it is”.
