The United Nations, that bastion of intellectual and moral superiority has denied credentials to journalist, filmmaker, and Global Warming skeptic Phelim McAleer. Mr. McAleer has a dangerous history of asking politicians and scientists embarrassing questions that challenge them to explain why mankind is causing Global Warming.
Mr. McAleer also has a habit of asking his questions whilst filming. Turns out the U.N. doesn’t like that, either. In a move which surely angered the hypocritical Left, he made a movie titled Come Fly with Me where he documented how most people who attended the Global Warming conference in Copenhagen flew there even though these people believe flying destroys the planet.
Mr. McAleer says his exclusion from the Cancun Climate Change Conference amounts to censorship.
Let’s be honest what this “summit” is all about: a bunch of poor, badly managed Third World countries ganging up on the First World countries to try and use faux science into guilt tripping them to transfer massive amounts of wealth from the Haves to the Have Nots. Or the sun is going to explode and the farming season will expand significantly, allowing us to feed more people.
One Global Warmer in England has his own ideas about how to “save” the planet:
In one paper Professor Kevin Anderson, Director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, said the only way to reduce global emissions enough, while allowing the poor nations to continue to grow, is to halt economic growth in the rich world over the next twenty years.
Prof Anderson admitted it “would not be easy” to persuade people to reduce their consumption of goods
He said politicians should consider a rationing system similar to the one introduced during the last “time of crisis” in the 1930s and 40s.
The United Nations is no different from a Mean Girls birthday party except that nobody is being forced to invite the chubby girl with glasses who eats her lunch alone every day in the corner. There are no moderating influences at the U.N. Countries like Sudan and Iran get to sit on a human rights panel and judge the United States while countries that don’t even have running water work to extort money from guilty Liberals who then try and pass laws to make the rest of us pay for our success.
Inviting a dissenting voice like Mr. McAleer is not what these people want. Al Gore doesn’t want to be asked tough questions that he cannot answer, and neither does any other “scientist” because it would raise difficult issues such as the truth.
