Liberals Simply Lie

Howard “The Scream” Dean went on Fox News Sunday to tell the world that Fox News was… get ready for it… racist!  Dean did allow that the host of the show, Chris Wallace, wasn’t racist (whew!) and fellow guest Newt Gingrinch wasn’t racist.  Dean was speaking of the almost immediate firing of USDA employee Shirley Sherrod after an excerpted video was posted on Big Government.

Howard Dean just made up a few things, including the White House being “afraid” of Glenn Beck.  As if the most powerful person in the world – the U.S. president – would be “afraid” of a TV host.  And Glenn Beck said on his show that Sherrod was fired minutes before his show was to begin and that he condemned the firing of Sherrod once his show did air (though Beck stood up for her she refuses to go on his show).

But to speakers of the Left the facts don’t matter, do they?   Their lies do tremendous damage over the long haul such as this statement by Dean:

“The tea party called out their racist fringe and I think the Republican Party’s got to stop appealing to its racist fringe. And Fox News is what did that. You put that on.  Continuing to cater to this theme of minority racism and stressing comments like this – some of which are taken out of context – does not help the country knit itself together.”

It’s funny how Glenn Beck is a racist (even though he condemned Sherrod’s firing) but Obama, who actually did the firing, isn’t a racist.  And its funny how Howard Dean would go to speak on a “racist” network.

That’s the problem with Liberals… they can never be consistent or keep their story (or facts) straight.

The firing of a government employee for supposedly racist remarks caught on tape is a legitimate topic of discussion for any new channel.  Fox New’s Bill O’Reilly later apologized:

“I owe Ms. Sherrod an apology for not doing my homework, for not putting her remarks into the proper context.”

Obama apologized to Sherrod as did her immediate superior at the USDA and the head of the USDA.

One has to wonder if, as President Obama has said in the past, that this could be a “learning opportunity” why he didn’t learn the truth before he acted.  After all, should our first “post racial” leader have a little fireside chat about uncomfortable topics?

And yet Howard Dean calls it “racist.”

Liberals play this racism game because it is the only way they know how to try and control a discussion.   If we analyize the situation, seems as though the NAACP and the Obama administration (which immediately condemned Sherrod before the truth was known) seemed to want to sweep it under the rug as soon as possible… perhaps they, too, realize they are on the losing end of the racism card.

The problem Liberals are having is that after being Chicken Little for so many years only idiots believe them.  But judging by how many on the Left still buy into their tired old stories, there must be a lot of idiots out there.

A better name for them are “Obama supporters.”
