Liberals, Whining, Tea Parties, and Lies

Democrats pushed through Obamakare and a majority of the country opposes it.  Obama’s popularity ratings continue to slide further below 50% every week, California’s Barbara Boxer (herself facing a strong challenger in the Fall) wishes Democrats would have the fervor of the Tea Party protesters, and Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is trailing in his race by double digits.  Liberals across the country are on the ropes so it’s time to pull out the slander and lies and they are already trying to sell the story that Tea Party protesters (whom Obama said he was “amused by”) are violent and will cause violence.

During the presidency of George W. Bush “protest is patriotic” however during the time of Obama it is… seditious?

This from Time magazine’s resident Liberal apologist Joe Klein:

“I did a little bit of research just before this show – it’s on this little napkin here. I looked up the definition of sedition which is conduct or language inciting rebellion against the authority of the state. And a lot of these statements, especially the ones coming from people like Glenn Beck and to a certain extent Sarah Palin, rub right up close to being seditious.

As Klein pointed out, the legal definition of sedition is “a revolt or an incitement to revolt against established authority.” And, sedition has been declared a felony in Supreme Court opinions, thus making Klein’s national television accusation a fairly serious one, one of which New York magazine’s John Heilemann agreed with. However, Heilemann added conservative talker Rush Limbaugh to that list.

Even former president Bill Clinton threw in his two cents for a one-two counter-punch:

Former President Bill Clinton warned Friday that the anger some members of the Tea Party movement express about higher taxes and the size of government could feed the same right-wing extremism that led to the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995, which killed 168 people and injured hundreds more.

What would have been the reaction had he implicated the anti-war/Left movement in the deaths of U.S. soldiers in Texas?  Of course Clinton isn’t going to say that… he’s trying to silence those against Big Government, not tell the truth…

Despite numerous attempts by the Left to discredit Tea Party members by calling them anti-American, racist, anti-government, or violent, so far we have only see violence from the Left made to look like it was done by Tea Party members (40% of whom are not Republicans).  Gateway Pundit has had some excellent stories on the Liberals who have passed themselves off as Tea Party members so as to discredit the movement:

• Democratic Secretary of St. Charles County pretends to be Tea Party member
• Leftist “thug” causes violence at Sacramento Tea Party

In fact, a website was set-up (it has now been stripped of most its content) called CrashtheTeaParty.org that was created by Jason Levin that, according to its founder:

claims to represent “a nationwide network of Democrats, Republicans and Independents who are all sick and tired of that loose affiliation of racists, homophobes and morons; who constitute the fake grassroots movement, which calls itself ‘the Tea Party.’”
