Just Politics..? Blog Week in Review

April 4, 2010 5:00 AM 3 comments

Today kicks off a new feature for Just Politics..?  As always, I am thankful for those who post their comments here and visit the site.  To show my appreciation every Sunday Just Politics..? will feature links to the ten stories by those who post or are linked to this site.  The stories will be from the previous week and those which I found most interesting.

So let’s kick off the Blog Week in Review without further delay:

  1. The Liberty Pen has an interesting article regarding how the Nevada Attorney General, despite the governor’s wishes, has decided not to file a suit challenging the Constitutionality of Obamakare.
  2. Jumping in Pools has an excellent interview with former California Republican Mosheh Thezion.
  3. Hope and Change has an optimistic post about the unemployment numbers and how he seems to suggest it’s thanks to President Obama.
  4. The Conservative Hideout writes about President Obama’s recent declaration about how he intends to open land and sea up for oil exploration… and why this might be a red herring.
  5. The Independent Bloghorn writes about the State of Utah seizing Federal lands… he swears it isn’t an April Fool’s joke.
  6. Vulcan’s Hammer posts a video about Civil Asset Forfeiture… how, for example, you could have your car confiscated by the state and sold even if you did nothing wrong!
  7. Forgotten Liberty writes about the $4.7 billion cost to buy Representative Stupak’s vote in the Obamakare offensive.
  8. Right Condition delves into the issue of how Obamakare might impact you.
  9. Beers with Demo pens about how Max Baucus lets it slip as to what Obamakare is really about.
  10. The Silent Majority writes about Representative Hank Johnson’s sarcastic comments about how the addition of 8,000 U.S. marines and up to 80,000 total people “would adversely affect the island’s fragile ecosystem.”

Be sure to check out the links.  Just Politics..? looks forward to some more interesting articles next Sunday.

  • Thanks for the link to JIP. I believe someone needs to launch a blog that will serve as the “news” central of what fellow Conservative bloggers are doing, such as there are mechanic magazines and outlets for other professions and hobbies. There are so many bloggers, blogs and an unlimited amount of happenings for someone to run a full time blog on following the news of blogs – an idea that could cash in.

  • Harrison, what a great feature. And I would say that even if you didn’t link to me. ;)

    Thanks!

Tim, something like Real Clear Politics for conservative blogs? Instapundit probably has that covered unless you were thinking of something a bit different.

  • Harrison,
Thanks for the plug, I appreciate it. And as already mentioned, this is a neat idea.
    .-= vulcanhammer´s last blog ..Today’s post… =-.

San Francisco’s Parklets: Another Stupid Liberal Idea

I’ve lived in San Francisco since 1995 and, for part of that time, it’s been without a car.  I don’t mean I’ve been one of those hypocritical people who don’t own a car (and decry the internal combustion engine) but rents one for the weekends.  I mean without a car. Like...

Conspiracy theorists unite!  Some will say all of the negative press from The Druge Report the other day painting Newt in a negative light is responsible for his decline in the polls. Wacky Wednesday: Hollywood Hypocrisy: Robert Redford, Sundance Film Festival, and the 1%

Nothing gets me fired up like some false Class Warfare/Liberal Hypocrisy.  Robert Redford, the “Golden Boy” of American cinema, said the following about his corporate/affluent Hollywood-sponsored event: We show stories of what people in America are really dealing with, and really living...

    A Fig for Newton?

What's all the fuss about? In the strange world outside the United States there is something called the Metric System.  Found in this peculular way of measuring things is the “Newton Meter” which gauges how much torque is applied to something.  In America, tonight, we also have a...

After a series of raids by cities across America over the past week, the Occupy movement is largely dead according to Gateway Pundit as 5 occupiers were spotted in Chicago and 10 in New York City.  Meanwhile, the battle against the 1% continues!
