The Lawless Democrats

In what has to be one of the biggest ironies of recent times, a party which complained for 8 years about the “lawless Bush administration” is now perpetrating the largest criminal act of post-WWII America.  I am speaking of the lengths the likes of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barack Obama will go in order to enact the Obamanation that is Obamakare.

Caterpillar Construction, which generates the majority of its business exporting construction equipment to countries like China has already said the socialized medicine plan will cost its company $100 million in the first year alone:

The Peoria-based company said these provisions would increase its insurance costs by at least 20 percent, or more than $100 million, just in the first year of the health-care overhaul program.

The impact of these new costs will devastate their bottom line:

“We can ill-afford cost increases that place us at a disadvantage versus our global competitors,” said the letter signed by Gregory Folley, vice president and chief human resources officer of Caterpillar. “We are disappointed that efforts at reform have not addressed the cost concerns we’ve raised throughout the year.”

Take the costs which will be carried by this one company and multiply it by all the companies in America and you have, indeed, a very large bill to pay.

And people wonder why unemployment is so high… companies are scared to hire because they are unsure how much their expenses will rise with Liberals in charge.

As Democratic Representative Alcee Hastings said:

When the deal goes down all of this talk about rules… we make ‘em up as we go along.

This as 100,000 Patriots march on Washington, D.C. to protest the Democratic Party take over of 1/6th of the U.S. economy against the wishes of a majority of Americans!

Using a procedural rule (the Slaughter Rule) to “deem as passed” something like socialized medicine is a criminal act.  This as Herr Obama maintains a whopping 43% approval rating according to Rasmussen.

Democrats must think Americans are stupid.  Americans might want healthcare “reform” but they want honest reform, not the charade that is going on right now in Washington, D.C.  Social Security and Medicare passed with majorities from both parties not using sleight of hand and procedural rules.

Democrats are no different from junkyard dogs catching a whiff of meat which can temporarily quench their hunger… they will stop at nothing to get their meat, even if that means refusing to go through the same process that any major bill should go through before it passes/doesn’t pass.

President Barack Obama should be rejecting the GESTAPO tactics going on under his nose.  Instead, President Obama gives quiet encouragement and dodges questions being asked of him in an interview with FOX News.

The Washington Post spun it this way:

President Obama’s interview Wednesday on Fox News Channel was a testy affair in which Obama repeatedly appeared exasperated at being interrupted and frustrated with the focus on legislative process rather than the substance of his health care proposals.

That’s right… it’s not the substance of his proposals that is news… it’s the sneaky, cowardly, underhanded way in which Democrats are going about trying to “pass” Obamakare:

Obama refused to give ground to criticism of his health-care efforts, calling the legislation “the right thing to do.”

Think about Obama’s statements… “the right thing to do.”

When President George W. Bush talked about terrorism, Gitmo, and “the right thing to do” the Left fumed and foamed at the mouth.  Bush never tried to remake 1/6th of the U.S. economy using a procedural trick.

Democrats are hypocrites and I cannot see myself ever voting for one again.
