I felt like he was running for president out of a sense of obligation to his party that honored with a "lifetime achievement award" of sorts. Zero energy through that entire campaign. In fact, if anything, the ticket should've been flipped. I will always regret that Jack Kemp was not a bigger player on the national stage.
