1.9 Trillion Reasons Democrats Favor Global Warming

Let's store our source data in here!
Many Liberal activists believe CO2 causes the earth to warm and they think humans are the cause of it. As the exposed emails from “global warming” scientists show, there is hardly agreement as to what is going on and what is the cause of it. Democrats need “global warmig” to be caused by humans so they can tax it – to the tune of $1,761.00 per American family per year – so as to pay for their social schemes such as Obamakare. It is a cynical motive – claimig to be for “saving the planet” while actually just being for more taxes.
And now we have news that “scientists” (I use the term very lightly) have dumped their data:
SCIENTISTS at the University of East Anglia (UEA) have admitted throwing away much of the raw temperature data on which their predictions of global warming are based.
It means that other academics are not able to check basic calculations said to show a long-term rise in temperature over the past 150 years.
The UEA’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) was forced to reveal the loss following requests for the data under Freedom of Information legislation.
The data were gathered from weather stations around the world and then adjusted to take account of variables in the way they were collected. The revised figures were kept, but the originals — stored on paper and magnetic tape — were dumped to save space when the CRU moved to a new building.
How convenient… the original, unadjusted data, is now lost leaving no way to check the accuracy of their “predictions.”
A lot of money is at stake here. Many Liberals want to see “rich” countries pay “poor” countries for what they say we are doing to the environment because of our greedy lifestyles:
Rich countries accept they must pay poor ones to adapt to increasing droughts, floods and rising seas, but Europe is known to be split over whether existing aid should provide the cash.
Britain has pledged nearly £1bn, with most of it channelled into global funds run by the World Bank. But it has separately promised nearly £200m to help especially vulnerable countries such as Bangladesh and Nepal.
Poor countries want a minimum of $400bn (£242bn) a year by 2020 to help them adapt, but rich countries have proposed only €110bn (£100bn) a year.
Looking at the situation it seems all to be a crock simply designed to make people in “developed” countries poorer and to try and make people in poorer countries richer (though their corrupt leaders will probably be the ones to gain most). We are expected to pay the people of Bangladesh our money because they happen to live in the largest flood plain in the world according to Wikipedia?
Democrats are in this “global warming” thing for the money… activists are in it to make First World countries poorer – perhaps out of some sort of misplaced ideas of “social justice” and, in the meantime, we have dumped temperature data and exposed emails showing a conspiracy in the making.
One sweet irony in all of this is a tidbit about the temperature lowering effects of a manmade gas:
Other horrible news for climate scientists: One of the hacked e-mails from a climate scientist considers the likelihood that SO2, or sulfur dioxide, being emitted by China’s smokestack economy may be counteracting warming trends elsewhere. So a cheap solution to warming — one that doesn’t rely on dreamy fantasies about rejiggering Western economies — might be to simply build really tall smokestacks to inject SO2 above the earth’s atmosphere to cool the planet like a windshield visor. The same solution is detailed in the bestseller “Superfreakonomics.”
When President Obama heads to Europe to pick up his silly Nobel Peace Prize he will know he cannot bring any legally binding targets for lowering CO2 with him so he will, instead, seek to make promised in the hopes of tying down the U.S. according to his promises.
Any rational person would let this Climategate spectacle play out with hearings and investigations before doing anything else but, if he did that, he might put $1.9 tillion at risk.

story about a canadian named McIntyre who was the first to really question the validity of the “hockey stick” graph. important to note, that when he asked for the raw data in 2003, Mann couldn’t remember where he put it. also important to note that mcintyre did all the work in his free time, and not in the employ of any special interest.
just saying, next time someone calls you a denier being fooled by big oil, just point to the original denier.

Yes and I think McIntyre isn’t even a scientist and the hockey stick author didn’t want to deal with him but, when he was proved to be wrong, he was forced to print a retraction. Of course, all of these “peer reviewed” articles simply mean two global warming buddies signed off on the other’s work.

I would put full faith and confidence in a Canadian questioning the validity of the formerly iconic and now disgraced(?) “hockey stick” graph.

what’s worse-i graduated from PSU (mechanical engineer), which is currently investigating Mann due to the leaked emails. I really hope the administration provides a fair and accurate inquirey that takes into account the above story.
