Liberals Cannot Admit to Climategate

It has now been over two weeks since hackers exposed the secretive world of global warming scientists and the repercussions and the headlines couldn’t be larger – if you live outside of the United States.  A recent headline on an English newspaper said “Fraud” while resignations and investigations have begun.  Even the United States Senate is considering investigations – of the emails hackers, that is.  So far, the major three networks in the States have been silent on Climategate and Al Gore says the limits in Copenhagen don’t go far enough to save the planet.  President Obama is still going to try to make political promises for the U.S. to cut CO2 emissions.

What is going on here are all the Democrats and Liberals ignoring one of the biggest scientific scandals of the past 50 years?

The answer is: they have to ignore it… too much is riding on the headlines just going away…

The biggest backer of “global warming” in the U.S. is former Vice President Albert Gore.  He is not a trained scientist (nor were his marks particularly high in his college science classes) but he does have a Nobel Prize and an Oscar.  He has invested most of his free time either in promoting the idea of “global warming” or making money off the idea since he left the White House in 2001.  Al Gore has his entire reputation resting on “global warming” being caused by mankind and he has become rich from the concept through Carbon Trading.

Democrats in America see Global Warming as their Jihad and a way to take a lot of money away from hundreds of millions of Americans and redistribute it to the causes they see fit (starving orphans in Bangladesh, solar energy projects across the country, etc…).  Liberals see the opportunity of some pending man-made disaster as an opportunity to re-organize society in a way that they see fit.

If they admit that the Climategate scandal is real and might be true, that data has and is being manipulated, then their house of cards will come falling down and they will lose access to trillions of dollars and a rallying cry of “save the planet.”

Democrats’ allies in the American press are just as guilty as their ideological pals on Capitol Hill are.  You have reporters, like the Associated Press’ Seth Borenstein who write dire warnings about “global warming” when it only takes a few minutes of research on Google to show how he’s wrong.  But the press would never admit it was wrong, particularly not when they brand anti-global warmers as “deniers” much like people were branded as pagans during the Spanish Inquisition.

And the Liberal scientists who worked to conceal data and use the excuse of being “peer reviewed” to make their conclusions seem factual despite the numerous times they were exposed as being wrong.  These scientists claimed it was scientific facts that governed their conclusions, not ideology but now we have learned that the base temperatures used to “forecast” the warming trend were thrown into a dumpster and lost.

And in all of this debate and accusations by Liberals of people being “deniers” it is forgotten that science is different from politics in that consensus is crucial for the later but not necessary for the former.  Thus, 51 Senators might be needed to pass a bill but only 1 scientist is needed to expose the truth of a matter.

We are seeing the tarnishing of not just Liberal ideology in general but of our media and the view of science in general.  The fact that Democrats in Washington and President Obama are strolling along pretending that none of this has happened is disgraceful and should call into question their judgement and fitness for leading the American people.
