So I couldn’t resist and got involved in a friend’s “discussion” on Facebook about the health care plan, mainly because the person strongly supporting it was going about it the wrong way. Oh I didn’t say much, but that’s kind of irrelevant anyway. I think this person was mainly interested in giving his opinion, not in any real discussion which gets squashed when you come across as being superior and the people you’re trying to engage are made to feel stupid. Which is what happened. More than once.

Some days, I would really like to know how some of these idiots ever got elected. Okay, in one case, I know how, but seriously, how do these Moonbats get elected? Former President Jimmy Carter is in the news yet again, proclaiming that activists protesting ObamaCare (or whatever you want to call the Leftist plan du jour), as being racist.

They say that for every action there is an equal or greater reaction. That also unfortunately applies to actions which fall into the category of idiotic. What is notable is that idiots acting like idiots tend to trigger those equal or greater reactions more swiftly. One such example is when a person’s id is triggered by an idiot and out of a desire to ‘send a message’ the response might be to “moon” the idiot . “…the word idiot originates from the Greek word idiwtes (idiotes), which refers to a person disinterested in participating in democracy and public life.

Nile Gardiner of the Telgraph (UK) calls it a shameful surrender … I have to agree. I blogged a couple of weeks ago that the Obama administration was about to abandon its plans for Third Site missile defence installations in Poland and the Czech Republic. Glenn, I love you, I really do. For conservatives like me, you’re that fresh mug of coffee in a diner full of democrats. You’re that big warm friend who holds us tight when the world seems to be spinning out of control. You’re the man with the words, words that should be sung by choirs!, when the rest of us are too tongue-tied with rage to speak out. And even though we haven’t met, I consider you a peer and a friend and true a ray of light.
