“Save 7000 UAW jobs.” And how many jobs of ancillary businesses will be lost like auto retail, transportation, etc? Now other union groups will see an opening and start petitioning for all sorts of protectionist measures because they wish to escape the consequences of having to compete in the marketplace with foreign producers. Great. This is just what we need during a weak economy–a escalating trade war with less jobs and higher prices for goods.
