Of course it should be remembered that that most intolerant of all Republicans, George W. Bush, nominated the first Hispanic to be on the Supreme Court but Democrats were scared, with a few even wondering whether he was really Hispanic to begin with.  Not so with Sotomayor! Just watch, as they say in German, the liebefest!

    while her upbringing is truly inspiring, i would rather committee members question her on her past decisions, and how she interprets the constitution.
