Obama, the G8, and Star Trek

Looking at this picture of President Obama at the G8 summit in Italy I am reminded of something out of Star Trek… which makes sense because Obama’s claim that the argument is over about Global Warming, his willingness to lead the American economy into financial ruin with Cap and Trade and his opposition to making other countries play by the same rules we would have to must be science fiction.

Looks like the Democrats in Washington know about this because Cap and Trade has been delayed until September according to a story by Reuters:

President Barack Obama’s push for quick action by Congress on climate change legislation suffered a setback on Thursday when the U.S. Senate committee leading the drive delayed work on the bill until September.

But Boxer did not guarantee Congress will be able to finish a bill and deliver it to Obama by December, when he plans to attend an international summit on climate change in Copenhagen.

I wonder… what would Mr. Spock say about this delaying this tactic?  Sounds logical to me.
