It’s funny how most seem to get the idea that this little problem of ours (which is global in nature)will not just ‘go away’ no matter what we may try to do about it.
Considering that, I would suggest that until we can find a way to live with this little global-natured problem of ours (and the world’s problem too for that matter) that we DON”T let it come here and fester itself inside America. For example, see this news link:

Finally, I just want to know, does the world really need yet another Islamic country with all of the backwardness that would surely be attatched to that..in my country? I detest. Let the great experiment take place somewhere else, perhaps in a place that could most benifit from such ‘hope and change’.. somewhere like Iran, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Egypt, take your pick.. any Islamic country would do really. Because, the last time I checked none of these countries are supportive of the non-muslims in their country and the “let’s force democracy on them here experiment(s)” is not going so well in Europe, Londonstan, Britain, etc.. Either! And so, I say let them “unclench their fists” FIRST!–> AND THEY CAN DO IT WAY OVER THERE TOO! BECAUSE, NO WE CAN’T, BUT, “YES THEY CAN!” LOL, sorry but all this hope and change is making me excited and making my leg tingle.
I’m just going to end this by saying that I do not think that this liquid melting pot (America) of ours would be good as a cold & hard waxeded mold of Mohammad, which includes a berkha to cover over our lady of liberty. Sigh.

The clear difference between the two administrations is that the Obama administration will proceed according to law, while the Bush administration policies regarding treatment of these detainees were repeatedly held unlawful, in part by the Supreme Court, and also by the Bush administration’s own repudiation of its own legal opinions. So we hope and changers can still say consistently that the Bush administration acted unlawfully, but the Obama administration will be held to a higher standard.
