It won't be tomorrow, probably won't be in Obama's presidency, but it could come. When the federal income tax was passed by amendment to the Constitution, many warned that citizens would eventually bear a massive tax burden. Proponents of the amendment said it would never be more than 1%. That's right 1%!!! Who was right? Give the Federal Government an inch and they will wield ever ounce of power they can get their hands on.
