Sotomayor says "Adios" to Women's Club

Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor has resigned from an elite all-women’s club after Republicans questioned her participation in it. Sotomayor said she resigned from the Belizean Grove on Friday.

She said she didn’t think the single-sex club discriminated against men (even though no men were members).  Apparently there is a rule for Federal judges (of which she is a member):

Federal are bound by a code that says they shouldn’t join any organization that discriminates by race, sex, religion or nationality.

I guess she joined the club because, as she said, a wise Latina will come to different conclusions than a white male does.  Either this means no white male Federal judges have ever been members of exclusionary clubs or she is just smart enough to know which exclusionary clubs are, well, exclusionary?
