Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad appeasement arkansas Democrats Diplomacy george tiller hypocrites jihad Liberals Media Bias Middle East Obama Terrorism william longThe media would rather report on the murder of abortion doctor Tiller and the Right wing extremists but what happened to the murder of U.S. soldier Pvt. William Long as he was gunned down in Arkansas by Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad? Not surprisingly, the private’s murder did not jive with the values of many reporters (especially when Obama was visiting Cairo) and has not been widely reported. Even President Obama himself snubbed Long as he talked about Tiller’s death but said nothing of the murder of a soldier under his own command.
Now, as a public memorial service was held in Arkansas for Private Long, look who showed up to condemn the very freedoms she enjoys (the video rambles on but she makes some disgusting points about religion, Jews, America, etc…):
So, let’s imagine instead of a Muslim showing up and protesting we switch it around and have some skinheads or maybe fat white guys showing up at Tiller’s funeral… do you think that video would get any play in the news? A case of bias or not?
I’m not saying this woman represents Muslims in general but what I am saying is that the deaths of Tiller and Long have not been covered equally because “our” media has a huge blindspot.

I wouldn’t call it a media blind spot as much as selective reporting.
They do this all the time.

It seems to me that Abdulhakim Muhammad, an American named Joe, got plenty of media coverage when he went on a rampage in Arkansas. Complaining about the “liberal bias” in the media is really becoming a conservative mantra, isn’t it? I’m quite sure that President Obama didn’t “snub” Private Long, and that he loves all his children equally.

As to the media bias charge, it’s been well studied and showed it exists. You can ignore the evidence if you want, up to you. Former Editor-in-Chief of the San Francisco Comical and current editor-at-large with Hearst Newspapers Phil Bronstein wrote this of the press’ Obama adoration:

As to Tiller vs. Muhammad, turns out Obama did finally make a statement… here they both are:
“I am shocked and outraged by the murder of Dr. George Tiller as he attended church services this morning. However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion, they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence.”
“I am deeply saddened by this senseless act of violence against two brave young soldiers who were doing their part to strengthen our armed forces and keep our country safe. I would like to wish Quinton Ezeagwula a speedy recovery, and to offer my condolences and prayers to William Long’s family as they mourn the loss of their son.”
Nevermind that with Tiller Obama mentioned why whereas with Long it was a “senseless act of violence” not the jihad the guy actually said.
